A NaviLens code labeled "LIFE-CAR" is attached to a metal chain near an exhibit at the North Carolina Maritime Museum. The NaviLens code consists of a black square with colorful blocks in blue, yellow, and pink. The sign includes a small "NaviLensGO app" logo in the bottom right corner. Below the sign, there is a partially visible historical plaque mentioning "Jacob Abbott" and "Harper’s Magazine 1851." In the background, a painting of a person with dark hair and a headband is partially visible. The exhibit appears to be related to historical maritime rescues or life-saving equipment.

Thanks to a team led by Peter Crumley, Beaufort resident, Lions Club member, and Beaufort Parks and Recreation Advisory Board member, with funding from the Lions Club of Beaufort, North Carolina, the North Carolina Maritime Museum (NCMM) now has NaviLens technology:

NaviLens technology has been installed throughout the museum to assist the Blind and those with low vision in navigating autonomously. Its sister app, NaviLens GO, uses the same technology to offer the same on-demand, interactive experiences for sighted visitors.
